Sub-Project Manager Development

Tasks

  • Hardware & Software Development
  • • Design and implement hardware circuits for industrial power supplies (AC/DC, DC/DC topologies)
  • • Develop and integrate firmware / embedded software for IO-Link device communication
  • • Define and implement process data models (PDI/PDO) and ISDU parameter structures in line with the department's IO-Link data model framework
  • • Author and validate IODD files; ensure interoperability with key IO-Link masters
  • • Execute prototype builds, validation testing, and root cause analysis for design issues
  • • Document technical designs, test results, and decisions with the rigor required for platform reuse in collaboration with the product architect
  • Sub-Project Management
  • • Take responsibility for assigned development sub-projects from kick-off to release gate
  • • Structure work packages, define milestones, and keep the team aligned on scope and timeline
  • • Track progress, escalate risks early, and report status clearly to the Department Director
  • • Coordinate with external development partners, test labs, and certification bodies — managing expectations and commitments on both sides
  • • Facilitate design reviews, gate preparation, and cross-functional coordination meetings

Required qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Power Electronics, or comparable qualification
