Strategic Buyer (Mechanics Commodity)

Initiate, develop, drive and execute: Material Group Management, Supplier Management, Risk Management
Managing your own set of suppliers and manufacturers, subcontractors worldwide
Market research and new supplier identification in the responsibility area
Benchmarking (tracking of market trends & changes, issue and evaluation of RFQs, decision preparation, etc.)
Managing tendering and contracting processes according to CLM (FSA/QAA/PA/NDA/etc.)
Negotiating long-term, strategic agreements, maximizing the supplier/manufacturer added value
Maintaining the relationship with your suppliers and regularly evaluate their performance
Executing strong contract management, negotiation for contracts, making sure suppliers fulfil their commercial and contractual commitments
Reporting: analysis and correction of KPIs (MPI/OTIF/SFR/...) in order to derive measures for supplier improvement
Interfacing with other departments such as Development, Product Availability, Product Management, Quality, etc.
Preparation of make-or-buy decisions
Quick reaction to market changes
Initiation and implementation of cost saving activities with applying purchasing methods, tactics and tools
Set up and maintain master data in SAP
Support and drive general Balluff purchasing strategies
Ensure supplier’s „Compliance“ according to Balluff regulations

Bachelor Degree in Engineering/Business administration field

German language knowledge

At least five years of professional experience in the field of purchasing as a Strategic Buyer or Sourcing Buyer
Exceptional negotiating skills, along with a strong presence and ability to influence others
Strong communication and project management to demonstrate project status, key actions, risks and opportunities
Willingness to travel desired
3-5 years of experience with Mechanics Commodity
Good knowledge of common MS Office applications as well as experience with SAP
Fluent English is a must
